Happy Anniversary & St. Patty's Day!!!

On St. Patricks Day 2007, Paul and I got married in the St. George Temple!! it was the most beautiful perfect day and my hubby looked super hot in his green vest! I loveSpring and to marry my best friend on what was the most beautiful day of the year made that the best spring of my life!! Here are some of our wedding pictures that were my favorite! Paul thanks for being so great and wonderful! you are such a great husband and amazing dad! thanks for asking me to marry you! Here is to the next 3 years and many more to come!!!

I Hate the System!!!!

This is a venting and complaining post so if you dont want to hear it then don't read it!!
So a few months ago i was told about this program through the state that will help max with his speech and i was told that because he was born with a cleft there was no question of wether or not he would get in. It is an early intervention program so i figured duh they will totally take him because they want to get a jump start on problems like this right!
okay before i go on i am not terribly worried about Max's speech capabilities yet but i know that someday he will have a few and i just want to give him every opportunity in life and do my best to help him succeed the kid was born with a cleft speech problems are inevitable!
Anyway so i put in a refference to this program and got a call three weeks later, they were going to come do a home visit this afternoon and play with him assess him do whatever they do right. well at about 10:30 this morning the lady calls me and asks if i can come to her office because she wants to do a hearing test on him.... no problem so i go to her office she does her assessment (p.s. the lady was very nice and interacted very well with max) anyway at the end of the assesment i am told he does not qaulify because he has to be in the 50th percentile which means Max would have to be at a 9 months old level to get any kind of assistance. CAN YOU SAY LAME?!!!!! okay i know there are kids with way bigger problems and i am being a sissy about this but those kids aren't my kids and if there is an obvious reason that this kid is going to have speech problems like i don't know a cleft maybe then maybe just maybe they should consider helping with speech maybe 1-2 times a month at the least. i just wish the system wasn't so screwed up and people would tell you before you put in all of the time and effort of paperwork and phone calls that your child needs to be in the 50th percentile in order to qaulify! And i am done!!! Thanks for listening!!!
